Completion of both the online and in-person components is required for certification in 2025.
If you know your local association is hosting an Umpire Camp but you don’t see it listed yet in ONDeck, please check back soon as we are currently accepting and processing local association camp requests and will add them to the system as they come in.

When updating your profile in ONDeck, select the role that is one level higher than your 2024 certification.
Examples:
A Level 1.1 umpire in 2024 would select the Level 1.2 role
A Level 1.2 umpire in 2024 would select the Level 2.1 role
A Level 2.1 umpire in 2024 would select the Level 2.2 role
A Level 2.2 umpire in 2024 would select the Level 2.3 role
A Level 2.3 umpire in 2024 would select the Level 3 role.
The process is to register for our camp through the ONDeck APP
https://ondeck.baseballontario.com/baseball-ontario-ondeck/register and you will then select the modules appropriate to your level. These should take about 2 hours to complete and do not have to be done in one sitting. Both components (online and in-person) must be completed to achieve accreditation.
ACCELERATED ADULT CERTIFICATION PROCESS! Register Now
Each year, we run an Accelerated Umpire Certification process for people 18 years of age or older with significant experience playing or coaching baseball, or serving as an official in another sport. Through this process, participants receive the equivalent of five years of training in rules, positioning, and game management, and upon completion are certified as a Level 2.3 umpire. The program includes 12 hours of live online learning with Baseball Ontario Senior and Master Conductors, followed by a full-day in-person, on-field camp.
